Dear Glancer/Browser/Reader/Possible Partner/Partner/Friend?
Makes you think I hope. You spend a lot of your time introducing
your business to the above. Which one matters the most?
1. The Glancer
Who is the Glancer? It is someone who has 'stumbled' across your
business. The person who is grabbed or lost in the first
sentence/sight of your business. The Glancer falls into various
categories, but we will dwindle these down to 2. It is a person
who has no interest in your business whatever it is. Then there
is that certain someone who might be interested, just might be,
for a flickering second might be. (We will return to the
Glancer/Flickerer later).
2. The Browser
The Browser is someone who is looking around the Internet
(remember the world's biggest shopping mall), not sure what to
look for or at. Can be grabbed or lost in the first line or more
likely the first paragraph. If the switch is not turned on then,
it probably never will be. The Browser is a reflection of you
and me. (We will return to the Browser/Us later).
3. The Reader
In modern parlance, this one rocks, or should do! This one
actually bothers to read your marketing, possibly has an
opinion, but if he/she (she from now on), does not agree, does
not see your business to be exactly what she perceives that she
needs, it is farewell Reader. (We shall return to the Reader
later)
4. Possible Partner
The possible partner is possibly tremendous. He/She (she from
now on) has seen what you have to offer, likes what she sees,
but then does the oddest thing, she returns to Browser status.
According to us/you she is seeing the best business ever and has
suddenly had 'doubts'! How could she? (We will return to this
Possible Partner later).
5. Partner
Bless her. She has read our/your business proposal, has thought
about it, done a spot of due diligence, still thinks it is right
for her and signs up. She is wonderful, glorious and then you
discover a while later, that she is not so wonderful, glorious
because she does nothing, not a thing to promote our/your/her
business. (You guessed, we will return to the Partner later).
6. Friend
The Friend, who exactly is the Friend. It is someone who has
passed through some, maybe all of the previous 'positions', has
been helped and nurtured by us/you/ (even her) and has grown, as
her business has grown, into a friend, a real friend. Someone
you might even meet one day. Remember the online business covers
the world.
What is the moment that ties the
Glancer/Flickerer/Browser/Us/Reader/Possible
Partner(her)/Partner and finally Friend together?
First Impressions. It is obvious isn't it? It is so very much
the same as in life itself. It is first impressions. If you lose
the Glancer, the Browser, the Reader and the Possible Partner,
you will never get real Partners, who then become Friends.
For the Glancer, the Browser and the Reader, you must grab them,
force them to see what you have to offer, Immediately like what
they see and thus reach the Possible Partner stage. Then grab
them again, give that Possible Partner exactly what they want
(which is after all exactly what you want) and you get a Partner.
The Partner does a lot (nothing is not an option). Why? Because
if you do something, so will she. If you help her and her
downline to succeed, so will you. If you know that and she knows
that, you are guaranteed success.
If you go to my site shown below, you will be able to download a
Free e-book called Dotcomology, which will equip you with
everything you need to present a Great First Impression.
(Of course, the answer to the original question, 'Which one
matters the most?' is ALL OF THEM). After all the Glancer has in
time become your Friend.
